Seeing that on their day England look like a Championship team, how about Simon Grayson?

Re: New England Manager?
Give it to Redknapp, I reckon the players would love to play for him.

Re: New England Manager?
Pardew
Howe
Redknapp

Those are the realistic choices for me, who might actually achieve something.

Re: New England Manager?
It has to be Redknapp, he is the right age for the job, international managers get 5 minutes with the players and in that time you have to make the players believe they can walk on water. As we saw with Bale he can take a failed left back and turn him into the most expensive player in the world. Pardew would be the only alternative, Howe would be crazy to go anywhere near it at this stage in his managerial career.

Redknapp won't take the job.

You can't 'wheel and deal' in the transfer market as England manager.

Lily Hammer 12:44 Tue Jun 28
Re: New England Manager?
I'd say Redknapp, and he may even recognise that Mark Noble is the rightful captain of England and the next team should be built around him.

Re: New England Manager?
Redknapp has international experience now
Took Jordan to Australia for a World Cup qualifier & also managed them against Bangladesh I think.
To be honest there isn't any obvious acceptable candidate at the moment. Which is why Hodgson survived the World Cup debacle.

Re: New England Manager?
I reckon Harry would be the first manager since Venables where you get the impression the players loved playing for him and there was a good team spirit.

Are you kidding? He'd take it in a shot.

Re: New England Manager?
Pardew's PASSION on the touch line would be glorious.

But those saying Southgate are probably sadly correct. We need revolution.

Re: New England Manager?
Pardew is a great cup manager so why not? International management is cup football.

Love his passion too

Re: New England Manager?
Redknapp needs to take over, someone needs to lift the atmosphere. there's no decent foreign manager available, maybe the Sevilla manager could be persuaded but im not sure if he speaks English

Totally agree with that Lily.

Re: New England Manager?
"I have no faith whatsoever in the FA picking the right man to succeed Roy Hodgson."

- Harry Redknapp

That rules him out of the running, unless reverse psychology works.
